Dataset Registry
Exact versions and build metadata for the GovCalculator HUD geography dataset. This page separates two things that are easy to conflate: the official documents these figures are defined by, and the assets this build actually serves — which are not the same for every source today.

What this build serves
The provenance of each asset, as recorded in the generated manifest. HUD and BLS are datasets this build serves; IRS Publication 15-T is a publication it cites, not data it ingests.
HUD housing data
Official source data4,764 entity records · FMR FY2026 · income limits FY2026
Extracted from the official HUD fiscal-year workbooks and reproduced without adjustment.
BLS CPI-U — canonical runtime dataset
Official source dataCUUR0000SA0 · not-seasonally-adjusted · monthly 1913-01 – 2026-07 (1,362 published observations) · annual 1913 – 2025 (113 official BLS annual averages)
Retrieved from the BLS flat-file publication of CUUR0000SA0 and normalized without adjustment; the raw agency rows are retained and checksum-linked to the served series. Index base 1982-84=100. Annual figures are the annual averages BLS publishes, not values computed here. BLS did not publish 2025-10 (lapse in appropriations); that month is recorded as unpublished and is never interpolated.
BLS Public Data API — verification plane
Official source dataCUUR0000SA0 · unadjusted · 36 published monthly observations over 37 calendar months · 2023-07 – 2026-07
An independent retrieval of the same series through the BLS Public Data API, on a different date and through a different endpoint. It is not used to produce any figure shown on this site: it exists so that a revision or a defect in either pipeline surfaces as disagreement. Every observation it shares with the canonical dataset is checked for exact agreement — on the value and on the published precision — on each build.
IRS Publication 15-T
Official publication referencePublication 15-T (2026) · Federal Income Tax Withholding Methods · official publication reference
Publication 15-T contains the federal withholding methods and their bracket tables. GovCalculator does NOT ingest or model those tables and computes no federal income tax withholding — the publication is cited here as an official reference only.

HUD FY2026 dataset. 4,764 HUD geographic entities: 3,161 county records and 1,603 New England county-subdivision records across 56 jurisdictions. HUD publishes CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT at town/city (county subdivision) grain, so those states carry no county-equivalent record and county figures are never derived by aggregating subdivisions. CPI-U is national and is never replicated per entity. BLS CPI-U (CUUR0000SA0, not seasonally adjusted). The canonical runtime dataset is data/inflation/cpi-u-all-items.json: 1,362 published monthly observations, 1913-01 to 2026-07, plus 113 official BLS annual averages. Each geography page presents a shorter window of that same dataset — the most recent 36 published observations, 2023-07 to 2026-07 over 37 calendar months — a presentation policy, not the extent of the data. A second, independent retrieval through the BLS Public Data API (2023-07 to 2026-07, 36 observations) is kept only so upstream drift is detectable; it supplies no runtime CPI value. BLS did not publish 2025-10; those months are recorded as unpublished and are never interpolated. Publication 15-T (2026) is cited as an official publication reference only: GovCalculator does not ingest its withholding tables and computes no federal income tax withholding.
